We remind that due to the dry season, some lagoons of the National Park of Lençóis Maranhenses you can meet in the dry period from October to February.
Leave Fortaleza at 07:30 to Jericoacoara, this day we travel along a road that is approximately 6 hours shorter on 300 km of paved road, the trip is divided into two parts: the first on paved road with air-conditioned tourist mini-bus until arrival in the town of Jijoca where we will depart to the second part of the trajectory with a local vehicle (no air condition) going through trails until arrival in Jericoacoara about 02:00 pm.
Note: Upon yout arrival in Jericoacoara the municipality will require a per person fee of R$ 5 per day, which will be levied at the entrance of the town (children up to 12 years and seniors over 60 are exempt from payment).

Departure at 8:00 in the morning in an air-conditioned 4X4 to the city of Parnaiba, in the Piauì state.
We travelling the panoramic route long a 40-km stretch of coast, through trails, edging sand dunes, palm trees and coconut trees on the way to Tatajuba where we get to know the lagoon "Lagoa Grande” and proceed until to the city of Camocim where we cross “Rio Coreaù” boarding a ferry and the trip continues along 50 km of paved road until we reach Chaval where we climb go up the observatory to see look over the small city with its houses constructed in the middle of giant rocks.
We then travel 75 km of paved road, passing through the dunes of Luis Correia until we reach the city of Parnaiba
Duration of the trip is 6 full hours.
We’d like to mention that the actual duration of each visit is influenced by the schedule of the tides and is decided at the moment of the excursion.
At 2:30 pm will start the boat trip to discover the Delta of Parnaíba, unique in the world for its variety of different landscapes like dunes, “igarapés”, mangrove and islands and that we can consider as a glimpse of the Amazon rainforest along the Route of the Emotions.
At the end of the excursion, the sunset, from July to January, offers the possibility of watching hundreds of fire-red ibises in flight to their own refuges in the middle of the forest, a truly amazing spectacle.

Departure to Barreirinhas at 8:30 am by an acclimatized 4WD vehicle, duration of this trip about 5 hours.
On the firts part of the trip to Barreirinhas we follow 144 km of the paved road until reaching the town of Rio Novo and we will continue along the panoramic route along sandy tracks that in the rainy season can be flooded, crossing paths with landscapes of incredible beauty, prairies slowly being invaded by sand dunes and native huts at the foot of the remotest desert.

Departure at 2:00 pm for excursion in a 4x4 ( no air conditioning), Rio Preguiça is crossed by ferry to continue the trip until the Grandes Lençois Maranhenses National Park, then the trip begins with an excursion on foot to visit Lagoa Azul and Lagoa do Peixe or Lagoa Bonita.
Return to city after 6:00 pm.

Departure in the morning at 8:30 am (the check-out should happens before departure for the excursion, but you can let your baggage at the reception) to the port in Barreirinhas, set out in motorboat down Rio Preguiça towards the ocean.
The first stop is in the Vassouras region to visit the Pequenos Lençóis Maranhenses and see local fauna in the monkey tent known as “tenda dos macacos”; second stop is in the village called Mandacarú, a small fishing village where you can climb up the light house called “Farol Preguiças” navy lighthouse to enjoy an enchanting site of the Lencois Maranhenses, Rio Preguiça flowing into the ocean and the immense native forest; finally arriving at Caburé beach to eat lunch (not included in price) and swim in the river or sea.
Return to city after 3:00 pm.
About 4:30 pm an acclimatized transfer by minibus will bring you to São Luís.
